INTRCPTR Premieres "Sandstorms" At BrooklynVegan And Invisible Oranges As Debut EP Nears July Release Via Magic Bullet Records

"I was driving through the desert, one-hundred-fifteen degrees out, I saw what looked to be a small swarm of bees hanging low on the road ahead, while plowing through it, at ninety miles per hour, it blinded me; turns out It was a sandstorm." - Ben Carr

The maiden single from the debut by INTRCPTR, "Sandstorms,"is now playing through a co-premiere at partnered sites BrooklynVegan and Invisible Oranges, as the EP nears July release through Magic Bullet Records.

INTRCPTR is the impossibly brilliant pairing of guitarist Ben Carr and drummer Larry Herweg. Longtime veterans of ungodly catchy riffs within the framework of all things heavy, the duo does not disappoint in the slightest when it comes to one's preconceptions of what becomes possible when collaborative inspiration between mutually-respected friends persists and persists.

Guitarist Ben Carr delves into the inspiration for new single, "I was driving through the desert, one-hundred-fifteen degrees out, I saw what looked to be a small swarm of bees hanging low on the road ahead, while plowing through it, at ninety miles per hour, it blinded me; turns out It was a sandstorm."

Notes the write-up accompanying the track premiere, "If you dig Pelican and/or 5ive, you're almost definitely gonna like this too. Like both of those bands, 'Sandstorms' has crisp sludge riffs and really knows how to keep your attention without any words."

I is the first offering and initial exemplar of the lightning-like strikes of pure, unbridled creativity that can be captured in the proverbial bottle of INTRCPTR. Wide open, completely badass maelstroms of raw musicality sprint right out of the gates via the aptly-titled "Nightrider" and "Sandstorms." Toward the latter, the rest of the album plays out almost in synchronicity to the type of long, desert drive that sticks in your brain and brings your shoulders down permanently thereafter. Recall Kyuss' Welcome To Sky Valley and you're certainly in the right headspace.
