Review: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the newest superhero film out the big rating sites put the film at IMDB 7.5/10, Metacritic 44/100 user 7.5, and Rotten Tomatoes 29% user 73%. The ratings themselves told me that the film was likely to be enjoyable but likely not too smart. After watching the movie that's exactly what I felt.
The actors I feel did exactly what the director wanted. I thought going in that the largest issue with the film for me would be Ben Affleck as Batman, but I think he did a decent job I don't think he was the worst out of the others that have played the part. What did bother me the most was Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, his portrayal of Lex Luthor had elements of the character but ultimately didn't feel like Lex. I don't think this reflects on his acting ability, but I do think the character was written incorrectly. Some people were concerned about the casting of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, but I think that she did a fine job.
The largest failure was poor CGI in places.. For the most part they did a good job, but it was easy to tell where they were cutting corners, I don't really feel that it impacted the film that much but it will annoy some people.
If you hope to see much of the flash, aquaman, and cyborg you will be let down because they only have seconds the film. But what you do see of these characters may leave you wanting more, at least it did with me.

What would I give this film? I would say an 8/10 it's not perfect, it's not bad, but it's a very enjoyable if you don't go in looking for problems (look for them later!).
